ISM Patna offers a two-year full time Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), equivalent to MBA, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. It is a well researched programme designed specifically to cater to the needs of Industry. The entire PGDM/MBA program has been divided into 6 trimesters. In the first year of the program, students learn the fundamentals of management. In the second year they are offered to choose from the different specializations offered by the college. presently specialization in the areas of - Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, IT Management etc . are being offered. At the end of the first year students are required to do two month internship in companies, which exposes them to real work situations and helps them integrate and synchronize their conceptual understanding with business realities.
The core focus of the course is the development of global leaders with strong technical business knowledge and to foster innovation. Team based learning forms the core of the teaching methodology of the course.
